My latest dinner set, made in the fall of 2018. The Golden Olive (also called Shedua) is from a private wood collection...I had stored seven large boards of it for thirty years before I found the right project for it. The client was thinking of a round or hexagonal shape to fit a rounded breakfast area, but I convinced him that this fat modern oval would be far more elegant. I am especially proud of the unique solid Golden Olive base, which is a sculpted diamond pededstal on a Moorish Cross. Bruce, a return client, set some simple parameters for his order, but gave me wide artistic license. The last photo delivery day, and the first moment he and his son Logan laid eyes on their new set.
